Day 01 :

Saruni Mara / Saruni Wild

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, to be met by an English speaking driver/ driver for your road transfer to Wilson Airport for your light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara.

Depart Nairobi in the morning*, arriving in the Masai Mara approximately one hour* later, where your Saruni Basecamp guide will be waiting to meet you.

Choose to head to Saruni Mara or Saruni Wild for some rest and relaxation, or begin your Mara adventure immediately with a game drive and picnic lunch to enjoy while you watch passing wildlife by the river, or out on the plains.

Spend the afternoon exploring the Lemek and Mara North conservancies and see a different and less-explored corner of the Mara ecosystem – much more private, but still teeming with wildlife.

Weather permitting, enjoy a starlit bush dinner in the heart of the wilderness, with Maasai warriors singing and dancing around the fire.

Day 02 :

Saruni Mara / Saruni Wild

Set off on an early morning game drive to look for the big cats and other predators of the Masai Mara, returning to the lodge or camp for lunch and relaxing treatments at the Maasai Wellbeing Space.

In the afternoon, your guide will continue to reveal the secrets of Kenya’s most prolific wildlife area, followed by dinner back at the lodge or camp, plus an optional night game drive in search of lesser-known nocturnal creatures.

Day 03 :

Saruni Mara / Saruni Wild

Walk through the valleys and plains surrounding Saruni Mara, accompanied by your guide, or take a game drive to the top of Kilileoni, the nearby high elevation mountain point overlooking the Masai Mara ecosystem.

Following lunch, discover more of the Mara North conservancy and neighboring areas, and deepen your understanding of what makes the Mara one of the most exciting wilderness areas in the world.

Day 04 :

Departure

Visit the rhino sanctuary supported by Saruni Basecamp on your way to the airstrip, and learn more about these endangered creatures.

The return flight to Nairobi leaves the Mara at 11:00* and arrives in Nairobi at 11:45*.

Upon arrival you will be met by your driver/ guide for a transfer* to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, with dinner at one of Nairobi’s most famous restaurants (Talisman or Carnivore). Bookings will be dependent on your flight times, and dinner is on your own account. Alternatively, we are here to recommend any of Nairobi’s other excellent restaurants.
